The series consists of blueprint copies of survey maps and related materials produced according to Chapter 147 of the Laws of 1903. That law authorized construction of the Barge Canal and land appropriations required for necessary improvements. These documents all pertain to Contract No. 66 involving land in Niagara County, towns of Lockport and Royalton, appropriated for construction of the Barge Canal.
